About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Architect and build a .NET chassis that abstracts cross-cutting responsibilities for product teams:
  • Database persistence and migrations
  • Publishing and consuming events via messaging
  • Distributed observability (structured logs, metrics, tracing)
  • Authentication and authorization integrated with the corporate identity provider
  • Resilience patterns (retries, circuit breaker, rate limiting)
  • Test framework with real infrastructure (integration and architecture)
  • Ensure a new service based on the chassis can be configured and deployed in under 2 hours
  • Serve as the technical reference for stream-flow teams during incremental migrations (Strangler Fig)
  • Work side-by-side with the Digital Account team, which will become the company’s .NET reference team

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Active use of AI-assisted programming tools (Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot or similar) in daily work — not as a curiosity, but as part of the development workflow
  • Experience modernizing legacy systems using the Strangler Fig pattern — incremental migrations without a big-bang rewrite
  • Experience working in or leading a Platform team (building a chassis, archetypes, enabling other teams)
  • Deep knowledge of Ruby — even if not your everyday language; the monoliths you will decompose are Rails apps, and understanding their patterns and pitfalls is essential
  • Genuine polyglot profile: proficiency in multiple languages with the ability to move across paradigms
  • Solid understanding of distributed software architecture (events, messaging, resilience, observability)
  • Experience with modern .NET — ideally someone who knows Ruby from their background and uses .NET today
  • Experience with an opinionated microservices chassis or framework (Spring Boot, .NET, etc.) as a conceptual reference
  • Experience in PCI DSS environments and/or regulated sectors (BACEN, Open Finance)
  • Knowledge of cloud infrastructure (AWS or GCP) and container/Kubernetes practices
