About the role

  • Work in agile, multidisciplinary teams with engineering, development and application architecture;
  • Produce technical designs in accordance with solution architecture patterns and references;
  • Design sustainable solutions based on knowledge of system and solution architectures;
  • Ensure elasticity and scalability in software construction;
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation and knowledge management for systems;
  • Participate in the full application lifecycle from conception to product/project sustainment;
  • Guide developers toward agile, incremental delivery of scalable, fault-tolerant solutions;
  • Evolve the development lifecycle and software architecture standards;
  • Define monitoring and observability strategies;
  • Propose improvements to adjacent systems;
  • Assess feasibility and the need for adopting new technologies.

Requirements

  • Strong Backend knowledge;
  • Database experience (e.g., SQL, Cassandra, MongoDB, Redis);
  • Experience with Event-Driven Architecture;
  • Experience with AWS Cloud;
  • Software quality practices (e.g., BDD, TDD, unit testing, integration testing);
  • AWS certifications;
  • Backend development in languages such as Go (preferred), Java, .NET Core;
  • Software engineering principles;
  • Application observability;
  • Messaging services such as Kafka, MQ or SQS;
  • Containers and Kubernetes;
  • Building resilient, scalable, and secure applications (desirable);
  • Understanding of business requirements and software requirements;
  • Systems thinking and software design;
  • Software architecture and structure: architectural styles (REST), design patterns, architectural decisions and trade-offs, recommended code patterns, data structures and algorithms, object-oriented programming paradigm, authentication and authorization, tokens;
  • API definition, versioning and management;
  • Defining standards for error and exception handling, log generation and processing, and fault tolerance;
  • Concurrency, event handling, and data persistence.
