About the role
- Act as the technical reference throughout the entire sales cycle, leading solution assessments, defining scope, and ensuring the technical viability of the most complex proposals.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of clients' architectures and design robust integration solutions between the Wake platform and systems such as ERPs, OMS, WMS, marketplaces, payment gateways, and other strategic partners.
- Lead and facilitate high-level technical meetings with clients, prospects, and partners, performing advanced requirements discovery, architectural alignment, and risk mitigation.
- Create and validate scalable integration architectures, detailed diagrams, technical flows, and documentation guided by best practices and industry standards.
- Serve as the strategic link between Commercial, Product, Engineering, and Support, influencing architectural decisions and ensuring that technical needs identified in pre-sales translate into actual deliveries.
- Prepare executive and technical documents (architecture, scope, and recommendations) with depth and clarity to support strategic negotiations.
- Lead and/or supervise proofs of concept (POCs), fit/gap assessments, integration tests, and technical feasibility validations in complex scenarios.
- Act consultatively on opportunities, advising clients on e-commerce best practices, APIs, integration governance, security, and architectural patterns.
- Influence the Product roadmap with technical insights gathered from strategic clients and market trends.
- Remain a subject-matter expert on emerging technologies, event-driven architecture, integrations, e-commerce ecosystems, and SaaS solutions.
Requirements
- Proven senior experience in technical pre-sales, solution architecture, technical consulting, or similar roles within technology, SaaS, e-commerce, or complex integration environments.
- Deep knowledge of integrations via REST APIs, webhooks, web services, messaging systems, and modern architectural patterns.
- Experience with complex projects involving ERPs, e-commerce platforms, OMS/WMS, payment gateways, and marketplaces, including mapping flows and technical dependencies.
- Advanced ability to translate business problems into scalable, resilient technical solutions that align with the client’s environment.
- Excellent communication skills to engage with both C-level executives and technical teams, with a consultative approach and the ability to simplify complex topics.
- Strong experience in technical documentation, creating architectural diagrams, defining scope, and cross-functional alignment.
- Desirable: familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) and technical design tools (Lucidchart, Miro, Draw.io, Figma for flows).
- Technical English for reading and understanding documentation.
