About the role
- Ensure a smooth, secure onboarding journey that complies with payment industry standards;
- Perform comprehensive identity and document reviews to approve accounts and onboard POS customers;
- Verify identity, merchant classification and business information in accordance with risk policies, AML/CFT requirements and card scheme rules;
- Use internal systems and tools such as Octadesk and Excel to confirm data and mitigate risks;
- Monitor the POS activation workflow, ensuring credentialing, shipping and device activation proceed without outstanding issues;
- Collaborate with internal teams (Sales, Risk, Compliance, Support) to quickly resolve inconsistencies or operational requests;
- Monitor the quality of registrations and propose continuous improvements to KYC processes;
- Safeguard the customer experience by balancing operational efficiency with rigorous risk controls.
Requirements
- Strong attention to detail and ability to review documents accurately;
- Analytical reasoning to interpret data and identify inconsistencies;
- Organizational skills to manage a high volume of requests while maintaining quality and speed;
- Ability to work with multiple systems and data lookup tools;
- Clear communication for interaction with internal teams and efficient information recording;
- Responsibility and commitment to deadlines, controls and internal policies;
- Previous experience in the payments industry, acquiring or fintechs;
- Familiarity with card scheme rules, compliance and fraud prevention;
- Continuous improvement mindset to suggest adjustments to workflows, systems and metrics;
- Experience in POS operations, merchant onboarding or device activation.
