About the role

  • Ensure a smooth, secure onboarding journey that complies with payment industry standards;
  • Perform comprehensive identity and document reviews to approve accounts and onboard POS customers;
  • Verify identity, merchant classification and business information in accordance with risk policies, AML/CFT requirements and card scheme rules;
  • Use internal systems and tools such as Octadesk and Excel to confirm data and mitigate risks;
  • Monitor the POS activation workflow, ensuring credentialing, shipping and device activation proceed without outstanding issues;
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Sales, Risk, Compliance, Support) to quickly resolve inconsistencies or operational requests;
  • Monitor the quality of registrations and propose continuous improvements to KYC processes;
  • Safeguard the customer experience by balancing operational efficiency with rigorous risk controls.

Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to review documents accurately;
  • Analytical reasoning to interpret data and identify inconsistencies;
  • Organizational skills to manage a high volume of requests while maintaining quality and speed;
  • Ability to work with multiple systems and data lookup tools;
  • Clear communication for interaction with internal teams and efficient information recording;
  • Responsibility and commitment to deadlines, controls and internal policies;
  • Previous experience in the payments industry, acquiring or fintechs;
  • Familiarity with card scheme rules, compliance and fraud prevention;
  • Continuous improvement mindset to suggest adjustments to workflows, systems and metrics;
  • Experience in POS operations, merchant onboarding or device activation.
