About the role

  • Maintain and develop new features of our data analysis & visualization platform with a focus on our query engine.
  • Maintain and improve the code base.
  • Keep an eye on the operations to ensure the stability and performance of the product.
  • Luzmo is looking for a Senior Rust Engineer to design, implement and ship new features on our Rust-based Query Engine component responsible for the real-time processing of large datasets.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of software engineering experience, including 2 years real-world Rust backend applications (excluding blockchain)
  • Strong experience with SQL and relational databases; knowledge of ETL/data pipelines and data warehouses
  • Bonus: experience with BI, data analytics and data visualization tools
  • Master in Computer Science preferred; love for designing algorithms
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, fast learner; team player who can also work independently
  • Takes responsibility, tunes code for performance, attention to detail; tests green; ships daily
  • Comfortable working with non-Rust tools such as JavaScript, TypeScript, and Node
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written)
  • Able to work in CET zone (UTC+1, +/-1)
