Engineer

• The Lummus Technology Chemical Engineer Development Program offers a unique and exciting approach to career growth for college graduate engineers. The Program consists of a combination of on-the-job training and meaningful job assignments in various technologies and departments. The goal of the Program is to provide diverse cross-training opportunities designed to build knowledge and help engineering graduates evolve into Technology experts.
• Over the course of a two-year period, graduate engineers are exposed to various technologies across our expansive technology portfolio. It is a valuable and challenging opportunity to join an innovative world-class technology organization.
• Utilizing exposure to numerous licensed process technologies, the process engineer performs process and systems engineering on high-value projects, proposals and studies. This position works collaboratively with team members across the organization and around the world to develop process designs that provide complex solutions to our customers. Engineers work in a collaborative and engaging environment, they are assigned mentors to help familiarize them to the business and are encouraged to design their own career path towards success.

Process Engineer I

Manager

• Maintain and upgrade code for existing cracking heater model
• Prepare software for integration with online applications
• Liaison with optimization and process control application groups
• Project management of modeling projects
• Participation in sales efforts and marketing for modeling projects
• Maintain and improve graphical user interface for existing cracking heater model
• Lead execution of projects to deliver models to licensees (configure, modify, tune, test, document, train, install)
• Debug technical issues and address software defects and change requests
• Support existing licensees with maintenance and upgrades over the lifecycle of their existing models
• Maintain software records and releases
• Coordinate with process design teams to maintain model consistent with latest technical developments

Manager, Licensee Support

AI Engineer

• Analyze the core challenges of the business units and help translate those needs into technical specifications for AI solutions.
• Build and deploy a wide range of machine learning and generative AI models to solve complex problems.
• Support and maintain the data pipelines required for our AI systems, ensuring data quality and readiness for model training and inference.
• Build out AI solutions and assist in the integration of AI models into existing Lummus business applications and workflows using APIs and other services to create seamless user experiences.
• Fine-tune and maintain large language models (LLMs) and vision models on our proprietary data, with a focus on performance, accuracy, and IP security.
• Support the full lifecycle of AI applications, from initial coding, prototyping, and experimentation to deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
• Foster innovation by researching new techniques and technologies to stay at the forefront of the rapidly evolving AI landscape.

AI Engineer II

• Partner directly with business and engineering leaders to understand their core challenges and translate those needs into technical specifications for AI solutions.
• Design, build, train, and deploy a wide range of machine learning and generative AI models to solve complex problems.
