About the role
- Engage with clients to verify financial/credit transactions and business performance
- Request additional information from clients where needed
- Evaluate clients’ credit data and financial data to determine lending risk
- Prepare notes about the degree of risk in lending money to clients
- Analyse client records and use data to recommend outcomes
- Evaluate financial status by interpreting financial ratios from proprietary programs
- Help supply chain and Sales and Marketing manage financial orders to control credit exposure
- Understand the lending platform, focusing on the origination module
- Work closely with Head of Credit Underwriting and Credit Team Leader on issue escalation and resolution
- Use ideas and solutions to meet customer needs and satisfy expressed and underlying needs
- Keep up to date on technology developments and technical issues affecting accounts
- Run operational tasks linked to monitoring the portfolio on book regularly
- Perform ad-hoc projects to assist the team
Requirements
- Matric/ grade 12 certificate or equivalent achieved
- Completed finance/ accounting/ economics degree or equivalent
- Ideally some commercial/SME credit experience
- Strong numeracy abilities
- Passionate about delivering customer experience above and beyond customer expectations
