About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using Ruby on Rails.
Build scalable, secure, and high-performance APIs and services.
Develop and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to support data integration and reporting.
Apply object-oriented programming principles to create maintainable, reusable, and testable code.
Optimize database queries and application performance.

Requirements

What you’ll need

MUST be a US Citizen located within the United States
Strong professional experience developing applications with Ruby on Rails.
Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and design patterns.
Experience designing and maintaining ETL/data transformation processes.
Experience working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
Familiarity with RESTful APIs and backend service architecture.
Experience with Git and modern software development practices.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred
Experience working in Agile development environments.
Familiarity with background job processing (Sidekiq, Resque, etc.).
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Knowledge of Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
Experience integrating third-party APIs and services.
