About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Install, configure, troubleshoot, patch, and maintain enterprise software platforms
  • Conduct application testing, systems troubleshooting, performance optimization, and maintenance
  • Monitor system uptime and performance
  • Maintain system configuration and application backups to ensure recoverability
  • Manage user and system accounts, network rights, and access to integrated systems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, developers, QA personnel, business teams, internal teams, and vendors to resolve incidents
  • Document ticket resolutions and root cause analyses
  • Analyze operational procedures, identify and escalate issues, and create effective resolutions
  • Maintain documentation and provide release documentation feedback
  • Participate in on-call production support, including off-hours
  • Identify system risks and recommend growth, improvement, upgrade, and technology strategies
  • Act as a subject matter expert and determine business requirements for supported applications
  • Coordinate with vendors and assess application release impacts
  • Define and implement application security processes and organizational standards
  • Mentor team members and provide technical support on complex application issues
  • Lead meetings, develop training and process documentation, and facilitate presentations
  • Advise leadership and lead business-critical application projects and strategic efforts
  • Optimize technology costs when designing and recommending solutions

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Business, Analytics, or a relevant field; three years of related work experience accepted in lieu of degree
  • Prior professional, internship, or co-op experience with enterprise-scale platforms preferred
  • Basic knowledge of structured systems analysis and design, systems administration, user support, project management, data integrity, and data gathering techniques
  • Basic knowledge of Linux and/or Windows operating systems
  • Basic knowledge of PowerShell, Python, Bash, SQL, and/or other programming or scripting languages
  • Basic knowledge of relational database management systems such as Oracle, SQL Server, AWS Redshift, and/or others
  • Basic knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, Salesforce, Pega, and/or GCP
  • Basic knowledge of monitoring tools, load balancers, and high-availability architectures and strategies
  • Basic knowledge of ITIL processes including Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, and Service Level Management
  • Basic quality principles, root-cause analysis, and technical problem-solving skills
  • Basic knowledge of source-control processes and tools
  • Basic knowledge of application delivery, management structures, and reporting procedures, including Agile methodologies
  • Intermediate written and verbal communication skills across multiple channels
  • Intermediate ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks and deadlines, and prioritize and organize workload
  • Level II: intermediate operating systems, scripting languages, distributed database management, and computing resource management
  • Level II: content store and content integration application administration, ETL tools, Active Directory or role-based security, security/compliance/audit policies, disaster recovery, SDLC, DevOps, process documentation, and presentations
  • Level III: advanced application and integration administration, disaster recovery, strategic vision, enterprise platform security, SDLC, DevOps, and stakeholder presentations
  • Level IV: expert organizational technology and core administration knowledge, plus technical/team leadership competency
  • Ability to sit and/or stand at a workstation and work on a computer for prolonged periods
  • Ability to use a keyboard, mouse, and/or phone for three or more hours at a time
  • Ability to travel across the Health Plan service region as needed
  • Ability to work in a home office for continuous periods for business continuity
  • Participation in an off-hours on-call production support rotation
