About the role
- Provide high-quality, in-person sign language interpretation at various client locations in and around San Antonio, TX
- Accurately interpret in various medical and community settings
- Ensure language access is provided
- Provide excellent customer service
- Choose your own assignments for interpretation
- Function as an independent contractor providing services on an IRS Form 1099 basis
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in American Sign Language
- 3+ years of ASL interpreting experience
- Strong understanding of sign language and Deaf culture
- Follow RID Interpreter Code of Ethics
- Candidate must live within commuting distance of San Antonio, TX
- Passionate about providing language access
