About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own and maintain Service Level Objectives (SLOs) for the systems you support.
- Continuously measure and improve availability, and overall system health.
- Develop automation to scale systems sustainably and prevent or mitigate service issues.
- Partner with development teams to enhance reliability, observability, and release velocity.
- Participate in on-call rotations, incident response, post-incident reviews, and root-cause analysis.
- Promote strong engineering practices to help build, deploy, and operate high-performance services.
- Act as a key enabler for Cloud migration, working with operations and engineering teams from project inception through to operational readiness.
- Conduct architectural reviews, support operational acceptance testing, and configure Datadog dashboards and metrics.
Requirements
What you’ll need- A Bachelor's degree in computer science, a related technical field involving software/systems engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with programming languages such as: Java, C#, Python.
- Experience with relational databases and SQL
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code.
- Experience in Observability practices with logging, metrics, tracing, and alerting.
- Hands on Experience with one of the following cloud platforms: Azure, AWS, Kubernetes
