About the role

  • Hands on Senior Engineer with experience of working within high performance development teams
  • Significant AWS Engineering experience implementing Amazon well architected frameworks, serverless solutions and improving existing platforms using AWS technologies with Agile delivery methods
  • Developing solutions with Python 3, Python data management/manipulation libraries and usage of Python with AWS components
  • Working in the Data domain, covering the full data pipeline from ingestion, mastering, management and consumption/distribution of large datasets
  • Financial Services expertise preferred working with Equity and Fixed Income asset classes and a confirmed understanding of Indices
  • QA/Automation capabilities integrating Automation scripts on Continuous Integration tools for automated regressions daily
  • Crafting Test Cases, Test Scenarios, Test Scripts and Test reports of functional and non-functional tests
  • Test Data Management

Requirements

  • 5 + years of AWS and Python development engineer experience within the Financial Services and Data domains
  • Bachelor's Degree in MIS, Computer Science, or IT related field or equivalent IT related experience
  • Deep experience of AWS solutions incl. Step Functions, Glue, Lambda, RDS, (e.g. DynamoDB, Aurora Postgres), SQS, API Gateway, Athena Direct
  • proven experience of the delivery and optimization of high-performance data pipelines
  • Comfortable with data analysis and SQL
  • Familiar with DevOps practices, implementation of infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like CloudFormation or Terraform
  • usage of CI/CD pipelines for efficient and automated test and deployment processes
  • Familiar with container technologies
