About the role
- Provides quality control tests and analysis of outcomes in a software development life cycle to ensure technology solutions meet or exceed business and customer needs
- Supports a wide range of quality control planning and execution activities in alignment with the organization's standards and strategy
- Gathers testing requirements by evaluating the product requirement (functional / non-functional)
- Develops, executes and maintains test scripts/cases autonomously – manual, automation, performance
- Assigns required tests to Associates
- Ensures test traceability and reporting on testing progress and activities
- Recommends and supports the implementation of improvements to quality control frameworks, processes and best practices
- Builds trusting relationships with team and colleagues
- Communicates clearly with team and keeps clear lines of communication open
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in the software industry
- Hands-on work with software quality frameworks using Java or Python
- ISTQB Core Foundation Certified or equivalent
- Exhibits good knowledge in software quality assurance processes and methodologies
- Exhibits good experience in manual, test automation or performance testing
- Exhibits good experience in the software development life cycle and one programming language (JAVA or Python), preferably in multi-tiered applications
