About the role

  • responsible for timely and accurate delivery financial reporting and control activities
  • ensuring accurate collection, recording, and verification of financial data whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy and quality
  • responsible for accommodating standardizing processes, documenting and building resilience within the team
  • responsible for journal postings, reconciliations, and intercompany recharge processes
  • ensure adherence to the London Stock Exchange Group policies and procedures
  • support the external audit process for companies within scope
  • assist seamless onboarding of additional scope, aligning the process to according to the TOM
  • support Group projects and ensure seamless implementation of any new systems and processes
  • collaborate effectively with onshore and cross-functional teams

Requirements

  • professional accounting degree with minimum of 3 years of experience in General Accounting
  • background in finance shared services would be an added advantage
  • experience in managing a similar scope will be an added advantage
  • experience of using SAP/Oracle/Oracle Fusion and Blackline accounting systems
  • experience in ERPs such as SAP, Oracle & Oracle Fusion will provide you an edge
  • strong understanding of accounting concepts
  • experience of working with senior stakeholders and reporting to tight deadlines
  • experience of managing cross geography relationships
  • strong excel skills and be confident managing sophisticated spreadsheets to ensure accurate reporting
  • strong track record in standardising processes and documentation
  • strong process orientation, with ability to design and operate robust reporting frameworks
  • ability to build strong working relationships with global colleagues
  • fluency in written and spoken English.
