About the role
- Conducting primary and secondary research on naphtha and/or petrochemical markets
- Delivering written and quantitative analysis
- Collaborating on supply and demand models
- Serving as a key member of the global Naphtha and/or Petrochemicals Product teams
- Supporting others as needed
- Building positive relationships with customers to understand their drivers
- Developing and maintaining a network of local and international market players
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree equivalent knowledge of Economics, Mathematics/Statistics, Data Science, Engineering or Petroleum studies
- Master’s or technical specialization/certification would be an advantage
- Demonstrated experience in the physical product markets or a research house
- Strong understanding in market fundamentals and the oil and gas value chain
- Collaborative and flexible approach to delivering value-additive outcomes for clients
- Understanding of financial markets and their impact on the oil industry
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience building global supply and demand models
- Proficiency in advanced Excel and Microsoft Office applications
- Knowledge of Python and data science/analytics techniques
- Strong time management skills
- Good critical thinking, problem-solving and analytical skills
- Network of physical trading contacts in EMEA would be desirable
