Handling escalations received from our logistics teams in first line teams to assess potential exports risks relating to new shipments.
Providing exports/sanctions compliance advisory support to regulated and non-regulated business lines across the group and acting as a trusted advisor to business lines and management on sanctions matters.
Collaborating with colleagues in the wider Financial Crime team in relation to operating processes and day to day compliance activities.
Supporting with the management and use of exports/sanctions licences, including preparing applications for exports/sanctions licences.
Supporting with regulatory reporting requirements and engagement with government regulators/external auditors.
Monitoring new exports/sanctions developments and understanding how these changes impact LSEG business lines.
Supporting with updates and changes to policies and processes.
Supporting Financial Crime colleagues and the group’s Risk and Compliance functions to develop and enhance monitoring and management of evolving exports/sanctions risks.
Supporting with the delivery of training and awareness on exports/sanctions compliance across the group.
Requirements
Degree or equivalent professional qualification
Previous experience of working in an exports/sanctions compliance advisory role
A strong understanding of the UK exports regime
Experience of EU, US and other exports/sanctions regimes is highly desirable
Able to complete accurate and thorough exports/sanctions queries
Ability to classify products including encrypted items
Previous experience working in the financial services sector, the data & analytics sector or in a related compliance or professional services role is desirable
Previous experience of conducting investigations into beneficial ownership advantageous.
