About the role

  • Create a comprehensive archiving concept covering scope, architecture, operating model, governance, and lifecycle processes.
  • Facilitate workshops with business, legal, compliance, and IT stakeholders to define retention policies, deletion rules, legal hold processes, and access controls.
  • Translate regulatory and business requirements into clear technical and operational specifications.
  • Evaluate and recommend a suitable archiving server/platform (on-premises, cloud, or hybrid), including storage architecture, scalability, security, and total cost considerations.
  • Coordinate and/or implement the technical archiving setup, including: System configuration and integrations; Job scheduling and monitoring; Security configuration (access management, encryption, logging); Backup and restore strategy.
  • Plan and coordinate testing, cutover, and go-live activities.
  • Develop documentation, operational runbooks, and support handover materials.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with data protection and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR).
  • Provide expert guidance on best practices in information lifecycle management and data volume optimization.

Requirements

  • Proven 6+y experience in delivering archiving or information lifecycle management initiatives from concept to implementation.
  • Strong understanding of data retention principles, compliance requirements, and governance frameworks.
  • Experience selecting and implementing archiving platforms or enterprise content repositories.
  • Solid technical background in server infrastructure, storage concepts, and system integrations.
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional stakeholders and leading workshops.
  • Strong documentation and communication skills in English (Norwegian, Swedish or Finnish is a plus).
