About the role

  • As a Process Automation Engineer (m/f/d), you will play a key role in the further development and automation of our production systems — from concept to series production.
  • Develop concepts and commission prototype systems, including conducting test series.
  • Implement mechanical and control-system modifications to automation and production equipment.
  • Design simple mechanical components and assemblies.
  • Support the upscaling process from prototypes to series production.
  • Assist with series ramp-up and hand over equipment to production.
  • Serve as the primary technical contact for production and operating personnel during ongoing operations.
  • Assemble, relocate and commission equipment within the Lohmann organization — including internationally.

Requirements

  • Completed vocational training as an energy electronics technician (Energieelektroniker) or as a mechatronics technician, ideally with a focus on automation technology, and additional training as a technician.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in mechanical and plant engineering.
  • Solid knowledge of automation and robotic technologies.
  • Experience programming PLC controls and working with electrical drive components.
  • Confident user of common MS Office applications.
  • Strong technical understanding, quick comprehension and the ability to think creatively.
  • Open and communicative personality with high commitment, team spirit and reliability.
  • Willingness to travel within Germany and internationally.
  • Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken.
