About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all employee relations matters
  • Conduct thorough investigations into employee complaints and policy violations
  • Partner with outside legal counsel on employee issues as needed
  • Develop, update, and enforce HR policies and the employee handbook
  • Manage full-cycle, end-to-end payroll processing for all employees
  • Prepare, file, and reconcile all federal and state payroll tax filings
  • Maintain and administer multi-state payroll operations
  • Analyze HR metrics and trends and present data-driven recommendations
  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition on job descriptions and onboarding processes

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field required
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience with a strong emphasis on Employee Relations
  • Minimum of 5–7 years of direct, hands-on payroll processing experience
  • Demonstration of expertise in federal and multi-state payroll tax filings
  • Proven ability to identify, research, and resolve payroll tax discrepancies
  • Strong working knowledge of FLSA, Title VII, ADA, FMLA, NLRA, and applicable federal and state employment laws
  • Proficiency with HRIS and payroll platforms (e.g., Rippling, ADP Workforce Now, Paycom)
