About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Point of contact and advisor for management and clients regarding the Warehouse Management System (WMS), supporting projects and new requirements
Independent management of tenders and implementation of new WMS projects from planning through evaluation
Analyze existing processes, define business and technical requirements, and continuously enhance the warehouse management system
Plan, manage and control WMS projects with regard to timelines, resources and achievement of objectives
Coordinate interfaces between logistics and software partners and ensure a smooth information flow
Perform data analyses to identify optimization potential and develop innovative solutions to improve efficiency and quality

Requirements

What you’ll need

Solid (2+ years) professional experience as an IT project manager/associate in the WMS area, ideally with a logistics service provider
A completed vocational qualification, e.g., forwarding and logistics clerk or a similar qualification, is an advantage
Knowledge of logistics and an understanding of the interaction of operational processes, especially logistics and warehouse operations
Experience in analyzing, optimizing and implementing warehouse management systems
Experience with databases and SQL queries is desirable
Experience with the LFS V8 Warehouse Management System from Ehrhardt & Partner is an advantage
Strong communication skills, analytical thinking, initiative and team spirit
