About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Point of contact and advisor for management and customers regarding the Warehouse Management System (WMS), supporting projects and new requirements
Independently manage tender processes and implement new WMS projects from planning through evaluation
Analyze existing processes, define business and technical requirements, and continuously enhance the warehouse management system
Plan, manage, and monitor WMS projects, taking into account timelines, resources, and achievement of objectives
Coordinate interfaces between logistics and software partners and ensure smooth information flow
Perform data analyses to identify optimization opportunities and develop innovative solutions to increase efficiency and quality

Requirements

What you’ll need

Solid (2+) professional experience as an IT project manager/employee in the WMS area—ideally within logistics service providers
Completed vocational training, e.g., as a Freight Forwarding and Logistics Services Clerk (Kaufmann/-frau für Spedition und Logistikdienstleistung) or a similar qualification is an advantage
In addition to remote work, willingness to regularly provide on-site support at project locations
Knowledge of logistics and an understanding of how operational processes—especially logistics and warehouse processes—are supported by systems
Experience in analyzing, optimizing, and implementing warehouse management systems
Experience with databases and SQL queries is desirable
Experience with the LFS V8 Warehouse Management System from Ehrhardt & Partner is an advantage
Strong communication skills, analytical thinking, initiative, and team spirit
