Develop project designs in conformance with the latest design standards.
May be assigned management of projects and will be given budgetary limitations and staffing to complete the project.
Stay current on available modeling software and utilizes it to efficiently design facilities.
Develop, read, and interpret schematic and construction plans.
Manage the production of drawings in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.
Perform design quantity computations and checks for developing opinions of probable construction cost.
Understand and work with surveying data provided from survey department.
Apply a variety of specification regulations, policies and standards to assure compliance with various Federal, State, and local rules and regulations.
Work with clients to pursue project funding through available funding agencies while following funding agency practices and policies.
Perform business development activities to assist with the growth of our Water Resources service line.
Requirements
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil or environmental engineering or other applicable engineering field
Professional Engineer (PE)
10+ years of experience in this discipline
Experience as project engineer or project manager for wastewater, drinking water, and/or stormwater design projects
Experience with project management and accounting software is helpful
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
