About the role
- Leads, grows, and manages a team or teams, including engineers and technicians; provides technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
- Fosters a positive workplace culture and ensure professional growth and development of department team members; conducts performance appraisals; identifies staffing needs and participates in recruiting and hiring.
- Ensures the department’s project deliverables are completed on time and within budget; plans, organizes, and directs department activities, including project management, design, and construction oversight.
- Serves as a project manager on various projects; performs QC/QA as needed.
- Develops new client relationships and seeks out opportunities for new business; maintains strong relationships with existing clients; coordinates with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance.
- Actively works to improve productivity and efficiency; collaborates on budget development, implements cost control measures, and ensures accurate financial reporting.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE).
- Demonstrated success in managing large and/or complex Water Resources engineering projects.
- Proficiency with relevant engineering software and tools for design and analysis.
- Demonstrated expertise in personnel management and leadership with a strong track record of guiding teams to deliver high-quality results.
- Strong client management capabilities with proven ability to develop and maintain new client relationships.
- Valid Driver's License
- 15 years of experience in water resources engineering (note: hiring may consider fewer years with equivalent skills)
