Leads, grows, and manages a team or teams, including engineers and technicians; provides technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
Fosters a positive workplace culture and ensure professional growth and development of department team members; conducts performance appraisals; identifies staffing needs and participates in recruiting and hiring.
Ensures the department’s project deliverables are completed on time and within budget; plans, organizes, and directs department activities, including project management, design, and construction oversight.
Serves as a project manager on various projects; performs QC/QA as needed.
Develops new client relationships and seeks out opportunities for new business; maintains strong relationships with existing clients; coordinates with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance.
Actively works to improve productivity and efficiency; collaborates on budget development, implements cost control measures, and ensures accurate financial reporting.
Requirements
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Civil Engineering.
Professional Engineer (PE).
Demonstrated success in managing large and/or complex Water Resources engineering projects.
Proficiency with relevant engineering software and tools for design and analysis.
Demonstrated expertise in personnel management and leadership with a strong track record of guiding teams to deliver high-quality results.
Strong client management capabilities with proven ability to develop and maintain new client relationships.
Valid Driver's License
15 years of experience in water resources engineering (note: hiring may consider fewer years with equivalent skills)
