About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support Program Management Teams in financial management of projects and programs
- Develop, review, and update project and program budgets, forecasts, EACs, reporting, and analysis
- Facilitate contract kick-off meetings and support CostPoint project setup, billing, accounting, and financial obligations
- Set up and maintain CostPoint project workforce and track personnel spend against budgets
- Monitor project and program expenditures and resolve discrepancies or miscoding
- Review and report financial performance, identify budget or forecast deviations, and recommend corrective actions
- Manage subcontractor/vendor costs, invoices, payments, accruals, purchase requests, and purchase orders
- Track program risks and ensure mitigation activities are in place
- Prepare or support client status reports, integrated program reviews, and ad-hoc financial requests
- Review and approve client invoices and resolve billing and unbilled-charge questions
- Monitor, track, and forecast labor and non-labor project spend
- Manage labor-category spend on T&M contracts with labor-category ceilings
- Support price proposals and cost estimates, including pricing assumptions and bases of estimates
- Support federal, internal, and external audit requirements
- Develop or enhance project control processes, procedures, and systems
Requirements
What you’ll need- At least 7 years of experience in a Project/Program Control role for a government contractor
- Experience supporting FFP, T&M, and Cost Plus Award Fee contract types
- Deltek Costpoint experience
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments and organizational levels
- Strong organizational skills and focus on accuracy and consistency
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong MS Excel skills
- Applicants must meet eligibility requirements for a U.S. Government security clearance
- Only U.S. Citizens are eligible for a security clearance
- Applicants must have a security clearance or be eligible for one
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred
