Geologist – Underground Mine

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Uphold and promote strong safety compliance through safe work practices
- Conduct underground face and backs mapping, sampling, and mark-ups
- Utilise geological data to provide guidance to mine planning and production
- Support short-term grade control and ore delivery
- Manage ROM and crusher feed plans
- Support stope notes and reconciliations
- Monitor geological data and assist in core logging activities to interpret orebody trends
- Contribute to monthly reconciliation and reporting processes
- Ensure data accuracy and QA/QC across sampling and logging activities
- Collaborate with mining and engineering teams to support daily production goals
Requirements
What you’ll need- Degree qualified in Geology or Earth Sciences
- Experience in underground mining geology (open to strong graduates who are ready for the next step)
- Working knowledge of geological software such as Leapfrog, Datamine, or similar
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data quality
- Good communicator with a proactive and team-oriented mindset
- Valid manual driver's license and the ability to work in a remote site environment
- Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance and pass a pre-employment medical.
- Existing and ongoing permanent work rights in Australia.
