About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Independently carry out payroll and salary accounting for a defined group of employees
  • Ensure correct processing of all payroll accounting processes in compliance with legal requirements
  • Correspondence and communication with authorities, health insurance providers and social security agencies, including reporting and certification duties
  • Perform mandatory registrations and deregistrations at the start and end of employment
  • Serve as a competent point of contact for managers and employees on payroll and compensation matters
  • Monitor and manage timekeeping/time-recording
  • Prepare HR reports
  • Take on operational and administrative tasks such as maintaining, reviewing and managing employee master data and personnel files (physical/digital)
  • Participate in the development and optimization of HR processes and in special projects

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Completed commercial vocational training, preferably with a focus on payroll accounting
  • Ideally further training as a HR clerk (Personalkaufmann/Personalkauffrau), IHK-certified payroll specialist or equivalent
  • Several years of professional experience in payroll accounting
  • Solid knowledge of social security and payroll tax law is an advantage
  • Confident handling of P&I LOGA payroll software and MS Office
  • Structured, independent and careful way of working
  • Discretion, reliability and a strong sense of responsibility
