About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Independent execution of payroll and salary accounting (payroll) for a defined group of employees
  • Ensuring the correct handling of all processes in payroll accounting in compliance with legal requirements
  • Correspondence and communication with authorities, health insurance providers and social security institutions, including reporting and certification
  • Execution of statutory registrations and de-registrations at the start and end of employment
  • Competent point of contact for managers and employees on payroll and compensation matters
  • Monitoring and processing of timekeeping/time management
  • Preparation of HR reports
  • Handling operational-administrative tasks such as maintaining, verifying and managing employee master data and personnel files (physical/digital)
  • Participation in the development and optimization of HR processes and involvement in special projects

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Completed commercial vocational training, preferably with a focus on payroll accounting, compensation or payroll
  • Ideally further qualification as an HR clerk (Personalkaufmann/Personalkauffrau), IHK-certified payroll specialist or equivalent
  • Several years of professional experience in payroll/salary accounting
  • Solid knowledge of social security law and payroll tax law is an advantage
  • Confident user of the payroll software P&I LOGA and MS Office
  • Structured, independent and meticulous way of working
  • Discretion, reliability and a strong sense of responsibility
