About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Designing, implementing, optimizing, and maintaining enterprise virtualization environments.
- Ensuring high availability, performance, scalability, and security across virtualized infrastructure.
- Serving as a technical subject matter expert for VMware technologies.
- Driving lifecycle management, automation, system stability, and cross-functional infrastructure integration.
- Providing technical leadership and operational support.
- Administering and optimizing vCenter Server operations.
- Implementing, supporting, and troubleshooting VMware vSAN environments.
- Architecting, configuring, and maintaining VMware NSX-T networking and security components.
- Managing and supporting VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) environments.
- Performing lifecycle management activities using VMware Lifecycle Manager (vLCM).
- Developing automation and orchestration solutions using VMware Aria (vRealize) Automation.
- Monitoring system performance, conducting root-cause analysis, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring optimal environment stability and uptime.
- Maintaining security compliance across virtualized environments.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and deliver integrated technical solutions.
- Creating and maintaining technical architecture documentation and operational runbooks.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Extensive hands-on experience administering VMware vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter within large-scale enterprise environments.
- Strong expertise with one or more advanced VMware technologies, including vSAN, NSX-T, VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF), or VMware Aria Suite.
- Proficiency with PowerShell and PowerCLI automation for scripting, orchestration, and systems administration.
- Strong understanding of enterprise compute, storage, and network architectures in complex infrastructure environments.
- Experience performing capacity planning, performance tuning, and lifecycle management for enterprise virtualization platforms.
