About the role
- Design and implement a SharePoint document catalog that is organized, annotated, and user-friendly
- Develop metadata, tagging, and categorization strategies to ensure efficient document storage and retrieval
- Configure libraries, lists, permissions, and workflows to support project collaboration
- Collaborate with client stakeholders to capture requirements, inventory current forms and correspondences and tailor the document catalog to meet project needs
- Provide documentation and training to ensure proper use and ongoing maintenance of the catalog
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, accessibility standards, and best practices in document management
- Deliverable: SharePoint Document Catalog – A fully organized, annotated SharePoint-based catalog to manage project documents and enable collaboration with client
Requirements
- Proven experience as a SharePoint Developer or Administrator
- Strong knowledge of SharePoint Online or SharePoint 2019, including document libraries, lists, metadata, and permissions
- Experience designing and implementing document management solutions in SharePoint
- Hands-on experience designing, creating, and/or remediating Microsoft Office and PDF documents, as well as accessible email content
- Ability to collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to capture and implement requirements
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Familiarity with workflow automation (e.g., Power Automate)
- Preferred: Experience supporting government or public sector document management projects
- Preferred: Knowledge of Microsoft 365 tools and integration with SharePoint
- Preferred: Certification in accessibility (e.g., IAAP Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies – CPACC)
