About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Collaborates with various teams and vendors to implement changes, updates, and resolve issues effectively
- Ensures compliance with industry regulatory policies and procedures and prepares comprehensive reports and analyses on the systems
- Provides strategic vision and direction to manage the organization's risk, ensuring business alignment, effective governance, and maintaining the availability, integrity, and confidentiality of systems and products
- Provides direction for the company’s data and cybersecurity protection and oversee technology governance and policies
- Develops the company’s IT security strategy, security awareness programs, security architecture, and security incident response
- Provides strategic risk guidance for IT initiatives, including evaluating and recommending technical controls
- Informs business leaders about security risks and mitigation strategies
- Collaborates with IT and business compliance teams as needed and coordinates the IT component of internal and external audits, as well as federal and state examinations, to ensure security programs follow relevant laws, regulations, and policies
- Plans and oversees the IT security budget, resources, and projects
- Establishes and maintains effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, vendors, and partners
- Monitors and evaluates emerging technologies and trends and recommend solutions to improve IT security functions and effectiveness
- Ensures adherence to IT security policies, standards, and best practices
- Trains and mentors team members to improve IT security culture and awareness
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field
- Demonstrated 3 years of managing others, providing solution designs, and operational excellence
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
- Demonstrated leadership in driving a culture of continuous improvement and Innovation
- Working technical knowledge of industry standards for IT security controls
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP and other networking protocols
- Experience with ISO and NIST security frameworks
