About the role
- Oversee development and implementation of the technical strategy and manage engineering leads and their teams
- Spearhead end-to-end transformation to deliver revenue growth
- Build and deliver the technology roadmap aligned with strategic priorities and business vision
- Ensure successful delivery of products by overseeing timelines and resource allocation
- Lead the engineering organization, promoting a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement
- Identify and mitigate technical risks to ensure stability and security of systems and products
- Track and analyze KPIs to measure success of initiatives
- Develop and assess financial plans and budgets for development initiatives
- Drive adoption of new technologies and methodologies and quantify results and metrics
- Work closely with Leadership team and senior leaders to drive engineering strategy and performance
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in data tech and product development leadership roles
- Deep understanding of SaaS B2B products and organizational complexities
- MSc in Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field
- Experience working for a PE backed firm in a scale-up environment
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills
- Solid track record in hiring, coaching, and growing engineering talent
- Expert software engineering expertise in Java, Python and AWS
- Sound understanding of APIs, source control (via Git/Github) and OpenAPI documentation
- Understanding of both SQL and NoSQL databases
- Proven experience with AI and ML in embedded or integrated system development
- Familiarity with databases (SQL, NoSQL), data warehousing, data lakes, and big data technologies
- Experience with data integration tools and ETL/ELT
- Proficiency in data analytics and visualization and storytelling with UX
- Proven knowledge of machine learning algorithms, frameworks, and AI technologies
- Awareness of data governance principles, data privacy laws and security best practices
- Comfortable working across time zones and managing asynchronous communication effectively
