About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Help evaluate AI-generated weather forecasting and event analysis
  • Participate in a project focused on evaluating AI-generated weather and climate analysis
  • Expected project scope of approximately 15 hours/week
  • Project expected to begin early July

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Background in meteorology, atmospheric science, climate science, or environmental science
  • Ability to verify weather events (storms, heatwaves, cold snaps, precipitation patterns) against historical records
  • Familiarity with US city-level weather data — temperature, humidity, precipitation, wind, pressure, cloud cover
  • Understanding of how weather events impact downstream systems (energy demand, agriculture, transportation)
  • Strong analytical and written communication skills in English
