About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Participate in training to develop TMS skills if not already experienced
- Conduct initial patient assessments in person or via telehealth
- Confirm diagnoses and document medical necessity using an AMD template and supporting forms
- Oversee the TMS technician and co-sign daily treatment notes
- Remain available for clinical questions
- Monitor patient progress and adjust TMS protocols as needed
- Provide discharge summaries to the primary or referring psychiatric clinician
- Represent the TMS program to internal and external clinicians
- Educate clinicians and coordinate care
- Provide a mix of TMS and outpatient psychiatric clinic services, or primarily TMS services for part-time work
- Support patient outcomes, quality care, and program growth
Requirements
What you’ll need- Psychiatrist candidate with strong interest in TMS
- Must commit to at least two in-person clinic days per week
- Board-certified or board-eligible psychiatrist (BC/BE)
- Experience with TMS is valued but not required
- Ability to conduct assessments in person or via telehealth
- Ability to confirm diagnoses and document medical necessity
- Ability to oversee TMS technicians and co-sign treatment notes
- Ability to monitor patient progress and adjust protocols
