About the role
- Driving research innovation by identifying, developing, and integrating novel treatment approaches and interdisciplinary methods to advance patient care and clinical outcomes.
- Developing and maintaining strategic partnerships with universities, hospitals, and community organizations to strengthen research collaborations, enhance community impact, and secure potential funding opportunities.
- Overseeing the dissemination of research findings through peer-reviewed publications, white papers, and national conference presentations, ensuring LifeStance’s research contributes meaningfully to the broader scientific and clinical community.
Requirements
- Doctoral degree (PhD, PsyD, MD, or equivalent) in psychology, psychiatry, behavioral health, public health, or a related field required.
- Demonstrated experience leading or supporting clinical trials and research partnerships in healthcare; candidates with primarily academic backgrounds must have served as Principal Investigator (PI) on major, grant-funded research projects (e.g., PCORI, NIH, or equivalent).
- Proven success in securing and managing research funding, including grant writing experience (PCORI, NIH, or similar).
- Familiarity with data analytics, statistical methods, and research software/tools (e.g., SPSS, Stata, R).
- 10+ years of relevant clinical, research, and leadership experience
- Excellent ability to lead, supervise, and collaborate across disciplines.
- Skilled communicator with the ability to present complex research findings to varied audiences.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion in research practices.
