About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide hands-on facilities maintenance, repair, and infrastructure support across a designated district or region
  • Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on base building systems including HVAC, electrical distribution, plumbing, dock equipment, and building envelope components
  • Travel routinely between assigned facilities to execute maintenance plans, inspections, and repairs
  • Act as the primary technical owner for facility infrastructure systems within the assigned district
  • Diagnose equipment and system deficiencies, determine appropriate corrective actions, and execute or coordinate repairs
  • Conduct routine facility rounds and inspections to identify risks, compliance concerns, and deferred maintenance
  • Coordinate, dispatch, supervise, and quality-check contractors and service vendors
  • Maintain accurate CMMS documentation including work orders, inspections, asset history, and follow-up actions
  • Serve as first-level escalation for facility issues and emergencies, coordinating response activities to protect personnel, assets, and operations
  • Support facility uptime during peak operations, critical events, and emergency situations
  • Perform minor mechanical, electrical, or conveyor-related repairs when necessary to support operations until specialized resources arrive
  • Communicate regularly with operations leadership, safety teams, and district management regarding facility conditions and priorities
  • Ensure compliance with all LGSTX, customers, OSHA, local, state, and federal safety and regulatory requirements

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in facilities maintenance, building engineering, or industrial maintenance
  • Demonstrated experience supporting complete building systems
  • Experience coordinating contractors and service providers across multiple sites preferred
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • HVAC systems including RTUs, split systems, and exhaust equipment
  • Electrical distribution systems, lighting, panels, receptacles, and lockout/tagout procedures
  • Plumbing systems and domestic water infrastructure
  • Dock door and dock leveler maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, one-line diagrams, and technical manuals
  • CMMS platforms and basic computer applications.
  • OSHA or equivalent safety training preferred
