About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provides Tier-3 support related to server and related infrastructure.
Responsible for adopting cloud computing technologies, infrastructure, and applications to meet the organization's requirements.
Provides guidance and training to less experienced IT professionals.
Responds to calls escalated by IS support teams.
Serves as a technical lead in IS projects.
Leads the planning, design and engineering of enterprise-level infrastructure and platforms related to the virtual computing environment.
Troubleshoots/replaces broken systems as appropriate.
Represents IS in meetings regarding technical projects, issues, and initiatives.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
Minimum Years of Experience: 7 Years of experience in systems engineering/infrastructure development
Substitutable Education & Experience: Experience can be substituted with a Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of experience.
Required Certifications/Licensure: None.
Required Training: Proven experience supporting Windows-based servers;
Deep understanding of virtualization technologies and best-practices including, but not limited to, VMware and Citrix environments;
Extensive knowledge of highly available (HA) and fault tolerant (FT) systems;
Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures related to server administration;
Outstanding hardware/software troubleshooting skills;
Enterprise support experience in a large environment;
Experience designing, managing, and supporting Microsoft Active Directory domains.
