About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support Investment Counsellors in analyzing and preparing client portfolios and custom research reports
  • Liaise with the investment management team to provide current, pertinent information on portfolio holdings
  • Respond to RFIs, RFPs and DDQs from consultants and institutional prospective clients
  • Ensure consultant data is provided regularly
  • Assist in customizing presentations for institutional prospects
  • Develop performance attribution commentary and analysis for investment strategies sent to clients and prospects
  • Support original capital markets content creation to enhance client communications
  • Update institutional prospect and client collateral
  • Create and maintain competitor intelligence profiles and landscapes
  • Work independently and within the team on ongoing strategic initiatives
  • Support existing client relationships and business development efforts
  • Collaborate with all departments to contribute to the firm’s growth and client service objectives

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, commerce, finance or a related field
  • Between 0-2 years of relevant work experience
  • An interest in pursuing the CFA or CIM designation is preferred
  • Advanced proficiency with the Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with eVestment or Bloomberg would be an asset
  • Knowledge of the institutional investment industry would be an asset
  • Professional presence with strong interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Self-motivated with a high energy level
  • Dedicated, well-organized and resourceful with a high level of attention to detail
  • Ability to handle confidential information
  • Team player with a positive, proactive attitude
  • Demonstrates initiative and thrives in environments that require flexibility and adaptability
  • Ability to draft documentation in French and English
  • Ability to liaise with employees based in various Canadian offices
