About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct independent, in-depth research on an industry and individual companies.
- Review company strategies, assess their plans, and analyze future challenges and opportunities.
- Build a comprehensive profile of companies and their operating environment.
- Develop detailed multi-year financial forecasts.
- Assess risks and opportunities related to major environmental, social, and governance (ESG) issues facing each company covered.
- Maintain up-to-date financial models.
- Actively participate in Investment Management team meetings.
- At the end of the internship, formulate a rigorous investment recommendation, including development of a strategic investment thesis and an oral presentation to the investment team.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Current MBA or M.Sc. student in Finance or another relevant field;
- Strong academic record;
- Academic background or professional experience in the sciences, information technology, telecommunications/cable distribution, or another relevant field (an asset).
