About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Conduct independent, in-depth research on an industry and individual companies.
Review company strategies, assess their plans, and analyze future challenges and opportunities.
Build a comprehensive profile of companies and their operating environment.
Develop detailed multi-year financial forecasts.
Assess risks and opportunities related to major environmental, social, and governance (ESG) issues facing each company covered.
Maintain up-to-date financial models.
Actively participate in Investment Management team meetings.
At the end of the internship, formulate a rigorous investment recommendation, including development of a strategic investment thesis and an oral presentation to the investment team.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Current MBA or M.Sc. student in Finance or another relevant field;
Strong academic record;
Academic background or professional experience in the sciences, information technology, telecommunications/cable distribution, or another relevant field (an asset).
