About the role

  • Install, configure, and maintain servers
  • Manage virtualization platforms and cloud services
  • Microsoft AD support for On-Prem and Azure
  • Perform system patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues
  • Maintain backup systems and disaster recovery solutions
  • Implement and maintain security controls across servers, endpoints, and network infrastructure
  • Configure and manage firewalls, VPNs, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and endpoint protection
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and coordinate remediation efforts
  • Monitor logs and alerts; respond to and document security incidents
  • Enforce access controls, multi-factor authentication, and least-privilege policies
  • Develop and maintain IT security policies and procedures
  • Maintain infrastructure, switches, routers, and wireless networks
  • Ensure secure remote access solutions for employees and vendors
  • Optimize network performance and availability
  • User Support & Documentation

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3–5+ years of experience in system administration and IT security
  • Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching)
  • Experience with firewalls, endpoint security tools, and backup systems
  • Familiarity with security frameworks and best practices
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues independently
  • Industry certifications (CISSP, CISM, Security+, Microsoft, AWS, or similar), preferred
  • Experience with SIEM tools and log analysis, preferred
  • Knowledge of scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python), preferred
  • Experience in regulated environments (e.g., healthcare, finance, government), preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of professionalism and integrity
