About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Work end-to-end across the Analytics journey: understand business needs, analyze sources, define metrics, model and transform data, create dashboards/reports, validate, document and deliver to user teams
Interact directly with stakeholders, business areas and leaders to map needs, translate requirements into KPIs and support data-driven decisions
Develop, validate and maintain interactive dashboards, reports and analytical panels in Power BI or equivalent tools
Build and maintain transformation models in the analytics layer using dbt and advanced SQL, ensuring lineage, automated tests and code reuse
Define business rules, calculations and aggregated measures with DAX, SQL and dbt, ensuring consistency and performance
Ensure data quality, integrity and accuracy by performing reconciliations and investigating discrepancies
Investigate root causes of operational issues and inconsistencies across dashboards, pipelines, environments and granularities
Model Semantic Layers and Data Marts for analytical consumption and Self-Service BI
Promote a data-driven culture by instructing, documenting and training business users on the use of BI tools and the metrics catalog
Ensure governance, visual standardization, access management (RLS/roles), naming conventions and documentation
Deliver with technical autonomy, propose analytical solutions and support the development of less experienced professionals

Requirements

What you’ll need

Hands-on, relevant experience developing and maintaining models with dbt
Organize dependencies using ref() and source()
Mastery of models, sources, seeds, snapshots, macros, tests, documentation and lineage
Knowledge of materialization strategies: view, table, incremental and ephemeral
Apply data quality tests via dbt
Best practices for project structure, naming conventions, code reuse and processing optimization in dbt projects
Solid experience building interactive dashboards and reports with Power BI or equivalent tools
Expertise in BI modeling, table relationships, filter contexts, aggregate functions and complex measures, including advanced DAX
Strong knowledge of Data Visualization, dashboard UX/UI and Data Storytelling
Practical experience with advanced SQL: CTEs, window functions, aggregations, joins, subqueries and analytical datasets
Ability to analyze and optimize queries for performance
Skill to investigate discrepancies, duplicates, null values and inconsistencies in databases
Solid experience in dimensional modeling: Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, facts and dimensions
Define granularity, relationship keys and aggregation rules
Knowledge of Data Warehouse/Lakehouse layers: Staging, Trusted, Mart/Consumption
Experience with Semantic Layer for metric standardization
Ability to understand business problems before development
Skill to translate business needs into data structures and rules
Strong investigative capability to find root causes of discrepancies
Experience mapping, standardizing and documenting data dictionaries and metric catalogs
Experience with data hosted on GCP (BigQuery) and/or Snowflake
Understanding of tables, views, partitions and cost/performance optimization
Hands-on experience with Git, including branches, commits, Pull Requests and code review
Organization, governance, information security, access control/RLS and documentation
Autonomy, communication skills to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences and a collaborative attitude
Nice-to-have: Python, Pandas, NumPy, Google Cloud Storage, Cloud Composer/Airflow, Dataplex, advanced Snowflake, multicloud architectures, CI/CD, data catalog and governance, Data Mesh, Data Contracts, unified Semantic Layer and integration of dashboards with AI agents or predictive solutions
Experience in large enterprise environments with multiple BI consumers and Self-Service BI
