About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design and build scalable, resilient data analytics solutions on GCP.
  • Propose and implement architectural improvements.
  • Elicit requirements from business areas and document them.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies.
  • Align the corporate IT environment with business needs, standards, and industry best practices.
  • Be able to incorporate a data-driven culture into daily work.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with empathy, to listen and be heard, and to communicate effectively.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Senior-level experience with at least 5 years of direct Data Engineering experience on GCP.
  • Senior-level experience with at least 3 years working with Databricks.
  • Extensive experience in the GCP environment (BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Functions, Cloud Pub/Sub).
  • Proficient in development using Python, PySpark and Pandas.
  • Experience in data exploration and integration projects.
  • Experience developing Big Data projects.
  • Understanding of the Spark framework and the characteristics and challenges of distributed architectures.
  • Data Warehousing (data ingestion, key distribution, performance tuning).
  • Data Modeling (BI/DataMart modeling – Star Schema/Snowflake, and modeling for NoSQL).
