About the role
- We are looking for a Mid-level BI Analyst to strengthen our data team, working end-to-end on building data pipelines, analytical modeling, dashboards, and analyses that support strategic business decisions.
- Build, maintain, and optimize data pipelines using dbt and Airflow, ensuring quality, reliability, and scalability.
- Develop and optimize advanced SQL queries with a focus on performance and cost in BigQuery.
- Design and evolve dimensional and relational analytical models aligned with business needs.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and Looker explores, ensuring clarity, consistency, and a strong user experience.
- Work consultatively with stakeholders, understanding business requirements and translating them into data solutions.
- Perform exploratory and root-cause analyses, going beyond “what happened” to explain “why.”
- Automate analytical processes and routines using Python when necessary.
- Document pipelines, metrics, and business rules, promoting data governance and standardization.
- Support the dissemination of a data-driven culture, ensuring teams trust and use data in their daily workflows.
Requirements
- Solid experience as a BI Analyst, Analytical Engineer, BI Engineer, or a similar role.
- Advanced SQL skills, including dimensional/relational modeling and query optimization.
- Professional experience with dbt (modeling, testing, and documentation).
- Experience with Airflow for orchestrating data pipelines.
- Advanced knowledge of Google BigQuery, including performance tuning and cost management.
- Experience with the Looker platform for building dashboards and analyses.
- Proficiency in Python for automation and exploratory analysis.
- Analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving mindset.
- Experience with other Google Cloud Platform services, such as Google Cloud Storage.
- Familiarity with business metrics, for example: Product: AARRR; Marketing: LTV, CAC; and financial metrics.
- Experience in environments with high analytical maturity or large data volumes.
