About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Operate snowplow trucks, wheel loaders, and other heavy equipment as required
- Maintain Alberta Provincial Highways
- Assist with labourer duties including crack sealing, pothole repair, bridge and signage cleaning, and hazard remediation
- Be available for on-call work during weather events, emergencies, and staff coverage needs
- Work outside in all weather conditions
Requirements
What you’ll need- Successful completion of pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Valid Class 1, 2, or 3 driver’s license with air endorsement
- Clear 3-year driver’s abstract
- Previous experience operating a snowplow truck and/or wheel loader is a strong asset; training provided
- Availability for shift work, on-call work, and night shifts
- Ability to work outside in all weather conditions
