About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform maintenance and repair of plows/sanding trucks, loaders, light support gear and heavy construction equipment
- Perform CVIP inspections on trucks and trailers
- Attend service calls in the field as required
- Follow manufacturer and internal maintenance programs and inspection procedures
- Engage in and participate in Ledcor safety policies and procedures
- Complete maintenance records and documentation as required
- Travel occasionally from the home shop to local field operations
- Respond to changing weather conditions and perform on-call duties as required
Requirements
What you’ll need- Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician (On-Road & Off Road) or registered Apprentice
- Experience with heavy civil construction, highway paving, or highway maintenance equipment is an asset
- CVIP mechanic license is an asset
- Must successfully pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
- Valid Driver’s License
- Ability to provide a 3-year driver’s abstract
- Strong ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions, including sketches and diagrams
- Proven ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
