About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct cost-efficient, needs-based and contract-compliant procurements
- Work closely with internal stakeholders/requesting departments and procurement/tender management
- Act as deputy for the team lead during their absence
- Solicit, review and evaluate offers
- Assess the technical and economic feasibility of procurement activities
- Coordinate closely with procurement/tender management
- Provide technical support for bid evaluations and award decisions
- Select suitable suppliers and external service providers
- Support contract negotiations
- Ensure the practical implementability of procurement projects
- Document procurement decisions to ensure traceability
- Maintain supplier relationships
- Prepare and compile reporting
Requirements
What you’ll need- Vocational qualification in a relevant field or a commercial/business degree (technical college or university) with solid practical experience
- Good knowledge of MS Office, ERP and document management systems (Business Central preferred)
- Skilled negotiator and confident in dealing with customers and suppliers
- Structured, solution-oriented and independent working style
- Strong commercial acumen
- Basic knowledge of procurement/tendering procedures and contract law (in particular the German Civil Code – BGB)
- Empathetic team player
- Able to understand documents in English and to communicate with English-speaking support contacts
