About the role
- Manage and retain an assigned book of business, ensuring timely, accurate, and professional service.
- Place new and renewal business by collaborating with producers and following established workflows.
- Answer coverage questions, recommend solutions, and process policy changes, endorsements, audits, and certificates.
- Issue insurance documents, reconcile accounts, collect premiums, and assist clients with service needs and escalations.
- Identify account rounding and cross-selling opportunities to enhance client protection.
- Maintain accurate client information in AMS360 and follow commercial lines procedures using available reference tools.
- Stay current on market trends, products, pricing, and underwriting criteria.
- Analyze renewal premiums, identify variances, and propose competitive alternatives.
- Participate in renewal strategy discussions and collaborate with Marketing and carriers.
- Mentor and support new team members as needed and contribute to a positive team culture.
Requirements
- 2–5 years of experience as a Commercial Account Manager or Producer.
- Active Property & Casualty license.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication skills and confidence in interpreting insurance documents.
- Proficiency with basic office software and comfort learning agency systems.
- Industry designations (CIC, CRM, CPCU, etc.) preferred—or willingness to pursue one within 5 years.
