About the role
- CourseCareers is an online education company aiming to replace the outdated college system with affordable career training
- Manage the production of 100 high-quality educational talking-head YouTube videos per month
- Work with 10 creators (each posting 10 videos/month) and choose all video titles based on what’s working on YouTube and what will convert
- Coordinate with creators to refine titles, scripts, recordings, and edits
- Hire and manage a scriptwriter, thumbnail designer, and editors; review all scripts, thumbnails, and edits
- Manage the production schedule and publish all videos in a regular weekly cadence
- Most videos will be 7-15 minutes long with a single camera angle and scene
Requirements
- 1+ year of previous experience as a producer or editor creating high-quality educational talking-head videos
- Past experience producing or editing at least one YouTube talking head video that received over 100k views
- Deep understanding of the YouTube platform, current trends, titles, thumbnails, and edits
- Extremely self-motivated with a strong desire to learn AI-based scriptwriting and manage the content creation process
- Very detailed and process-oriented to manage a complex 100+ video/month operation
- Desire to work in a high-pressure, results-only environment
- Must be able to work 40+ hours per week
