About the role
- Design, build, and optimize ELT pipelines for data ingestion and transformation
- Develop and maintain Snowflake data warehouse models to enable reliable reporting
- Implement and manage transformations in DBT
- Create and support Python-based data integrations within GCP to shuttle raw data into Snowflake
- Collaborate closely with data leaders and stakeholders to ensure accuracy, performance, and scalability
- Ensure data quality through validation, monitoring, and troubleshooting of pipelines
- Document data models, transformations, and system integrations
- Support BI and reporting needs by enabling downstream data availability for Power BI dashboards
- Contribute to improving processes, proactively addressing gaps, and ensuring alignment with business expectations
Requirements
- 3+ years in data engineering or backend systems with a strong data focus
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake (data modeling and warehouse optimization)
- Hands-on experience with DBT (data transformation layer)
- Hands-on experience with Python for building data pipelines and integrations
- Hands-on experience with GCP (data ingestion/storage workflows)
- Strong SQL skills for querying, modeling, and performance tuning
- Experience working with ELT data patterns
- Experience with Power BI (building dashboards, reports, or supporting stakeholders) — good to have
- Exposure to iPaaS solutions (Digibee) — good to have
- Familiarity with additional BI tools (Tableau, Looker) — very big plus
- Experience presenting technical outcomes to customers or external stakeholders — very big plus
- Knowledge of other cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) — very big plus
- Familiarity with AI and ML applications — very big plus
- Exposure to data lake, streaming, or real-time processing architectures — very big plus
- Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts clearly
- Proactive, detail-oriented, self-sufficient, and reliable team member
- Sense of urgency and strong problem-solving mindset
