About the role

Architect and build features for front-end applications, ensuring high-quality digital experiences
Write, test, debug, and deploy code using TypeScript, JavaScript/Node.js, and React
Optimize application performance focusing on Google’s Core Web Vitals metrics and CDN caching strategies with Fastly
Integrate with third-party APIs, particularly RESTful services, to support paywalls, subscriptions, and data reporting
Enhance content publishing workflows within WordPress-VIP
Embed security best practices in all coding activities
Work collaboratively with Design and Product teams to refine user flows and define optimal solutions
Lead initiatives to improve workflows and development practices and mentor team members

5+ years of professional experience with modern web frameworks in the media space
Advanced proficiency in TypeScript and JavaScript/Node.js
Advanced expertise in React
Intermediate practical knowledge of CI/CD processes, particularly using GitHub Actions
Sound understanding of AWS services such as ECS, EC2, and ALBs
Proficient use of module loaders like Webpack, Parcel, and Vite
Knowledge of security best practices and focus on maintaining high security standards
Experience with CDNs, specifically Fastly
Familiarity with REST APIs and integration within Node/React frameworks
Solid understanding of automated testing frameworks
Intermediate experience with WordPress, specifically within a WordPress-VIP environment
Obsessive focus on front-end performance improvements using Google’s Core Web Vitals
Growth mindset and willingness to engage in constructive debates and collaborative design development
