About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist in developing and implementing the overall BIM process for software applications and project support
- Engage design teams and provide ongoing training, troubleshooting, and user support
- Coordinate BIM files with architects during building model development
- Serve as a production leader and participate in production of MEP models for active projects
- Oversee BIM software installation, configuration, maintenance, support, and issue analysis
- Manage content libraries, templates, standards, and project model evaluations
- Develop, implement, and enforce BIM standards
- Ensure collaboration and standardization between offices
- Support plotting and electronic file submissions
- Automate BIM routines to improve standards and productivity
- Assist project teams with BIM project setup and modeling challenges
- Manage and distribute coordinated digital documents to project teams
- Coordinate and update electronic models with engineers
- Link BIM to construction administration activities, including submittals, construction models, shop drawings, and schedules
- Assist with project modeling and detailing
- Manage supporting BIM software implementation and provide related software support
- Stay informed about best practices for Revit Architecture, AutoCAD, BIM, and related software
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field
- 5+ years’ experience in design, drafting, or engineering production plus BIM management in an A/E/C firm
- Superior in-depth working knowledge of Revit
- Good knowledge of AutoCAD
- Skilled user of digital technology tools
- Understanding of architecture practice, project delivery, and construction methods
- Willingness to pursue continued education on BIM and related technologies
- Passion for design technologies and skill in developing technologies and practices that increase user effectiveness
- Exceptional work ethic and commitment to company values and high standards of conduct
- Strong service orientation and approachability
- Good interpersonal skills and effectiveness working in a team environment
- Ability to assume additional responsibilities and manage priorities with minimal guidance
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to travel between offices and attend conferences and seminars as required
